From Goodreads:
Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister’s place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before—and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that will weigh survival against humanity and life against love.
The Hunger Games is my favorite book in the entire world! If I could give this book 1 million hearts I would, but i would NOT want to live in The Hunger Games. Basically, every year one boy and one girl are picked from each district (1-12) to fight to the death in the annual Hunger Games.
You may be thinking it was set in the past. WRONG! It is in the future. The characters in the book are, Katniss, Prim, Gale, Peeta, and whole bunch more that I don't feel like naming. I give this book:

Review: The Amazing Days of Abby Hayes: Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining
From Goodreads: Abby Hayes is a fun and quirky fifth grader looking to find her own "super-special" talent. Squeezed between two outstanding older siblings and her protege brother, Abby is determined to make her mark. She takes solace in the words of inspiration from the 73 calendars she has in her room, and records the quotes in her purple notebook. Kids will love Abby's humorous and hip approach to everyday issues.
I really liked this book and I would recommend it to every kid in the world from 8-12 ! It was very funny, random, and a little bit sad. This book is about a young girl named Abby Hayes who is starting the fifth grade. She collects calendars and is a very good writer! She also looks so different from her family that if I saw her somewhere in public with them, I would say," Are you lost kid?"
First of all, she has curly, red hair that a thousand clips would never tame, but her family looks nothing like that! Second of all, she is just a normal girl with dreams of being a soccer star, but each and every one of her family members are practically famous. For instance, her father owned his own computer business and designs web pages for clients; her mother was a lawyer and mother of four, and she ran marathons; her little brother, Alex is a math genius and can design robots in the second grade; her twin sisters were good at every sport imaginable! She has a lot to deal with! I loved this book and give it:

Hey guys! So I guess you know what this post is about. There is this book that I really, really want! Its called Amelia's Notebook. This book looks so cool considering that I love the kind of books that are like journals!
I have been wanting this book for a while now and since my birthday is coming up next month, it could be the perfect chance to ask somebody for it! Anyway, this was a very short post. Wish me luck! Oh, and comment on this post if you have ever heard of the book!

Review: The Land of Corn Chips
From Goodreads: Eleven-year-old Nate Hansen never believed in dragons before an eccentric man with a purple-feather hat kidnaps him. Spirited to the Land of Corn Chips on the back of a mechanical yellow dragon, Nate must find a way to avoid being ground into compost. His only hope of escape is to earn the friendship of the local wrestling gang and zombie kids, and to believe in a parent he no longer trusts.
I love books that have a lot of fantasy and adventures in them, and this one really had a lot! In the beginning of the book, I felt really bad for Nate, because he wanted his father to be at his big game but his father wasn't there.
Then his father was supposed to pick him up but never did. This is when the weird guy with the purple-feather hat comes in and Nate ends up in the Land of Corn Chips. From there, Nate has a lot of adventures and has to figure out how to save himself.
I liked this book and would recommend it to some of my friends. I give it:

Review: Plain Old Kirby Carson
From Goodreads: Kirby Carson was not the most popular kid at school nor was he a standout in any way. In fact, very few people even noticed plain old Kirby Carson at all.
Everything was about to change when Sue Andrews, Monika Randolph, and the class bully all came looking for Kirby in the same day. He knew that his old tattered jean jacket would not be enough to keep him hidden any longer.
Plain Old Kirby Carson is the classic coming of ages story that has been modernized and updated to appeal to the average young adult. This humorous tale of told from the point of view of two seventh grade students who are partnered to complete a class project. Together they help one another to navigate through the perilous and confusing waters of loneliness, peer pressure, and romance.
I absolutely L-O-V-E-D this book! It is about a non-popular boy named Kirby Carson who always wears his jean jacket that his dad gave him. When he gets assigned to work with Sue Andrews, her best friend Monika thinks that she is Kirby's girlfriend and bad things happen. Kirby has to deal with bullies (which I don't like very much), being lied to, and lots more!
I really liked Kirby a lot. I think if he went to my school, he and I would be good friends. My favorite part is when Kirby makes pizzas with Sue and her dad. I would recommend this book to all my friends, and I think people who enjoyed Diary of a Wimpy Kid would really like it. I give this book:

Review: Dork Diaries #2: Tales from a Not-So-Popular Party Girl
From Goodreads: Rachel Renee Russell's sequel to DORK DIARIES is packed with adorable art and tons of laughs.
I like this book a little bit less than the first because it wasn't as funny. However, it is still one of my favorites. One of the million things that I like about this book is that the things in this book can happen in real life. In the beginning of the story Nikki Maxwell made a complete fool of herself in front of her crush AGAIN! :(
She thinks this will ruin her chances of her going with him to the dance that is coming up and she thinks that he will go with Mackenzie. While trying to make a good impression, Nikki is trying not to kill her friends,Cloe and Zoey because they are acting like she is lovesick. Also, Nikki's sister , Brianna needs her to walk around in a rat suit for her dance class the same day as the school dance and still needs to pick who she wants to go with!
This book has so much to tell about but I don't want to spoil it. My rating:
