Review: Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Fabulous Life

From Goodreads: New diary so Nikki can spill about all of it...New school. New mean girl. New crush.

This is one of my favorite books of all time. There are lots of things I like about it. I especially like how it is written in the form of a diary and I like the pictures. It is a lot like the girly form of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The main character is Nikki, and she goes to a new school and has to have a locker right next to snobby Mackenzie. Mackenzie is the most popular girl in school, and everyone adores her except for Nikki.

Nikki draws really well, so she enters an art contest that Mackenzie also enters. The winner gets five-hundred dollars that Nikki could use for the iPhone that she has always wanted. Nikki knows that since Mackenzie is entering the contest also, this means war.

There was nothing I didn't like about this book, and I would definitely recommend it to all of my friends (and have). I've also read the sequel to this book, and will do a review on that one later. My rating:

♥♥♥♥♥

  1. Cassie, my daughter Sadie is almost 4 years old. How old do you think she'd need to be to enjoy it as much as you did?

  2. Well, my little cousin that lives with me is 3 years old too, and she loves to look at the pictures. Sadie might like it if you read it to her, but she might have more fun with a book like The Poky Little Puppy because it's funny for little kids and really cute.
